Tvheadend

I am very new to linux. I've had my laptop on lubuntu for about a month.
I have a windows server for plex and DVR purposes which I am trying to change to an XU4, which is running Ubuntu 15.10 right now.
I have TVheadend for debian jessie installed from the official repository (after much hand wringing and mistakes by me).
I use a silicondust hdhomerun connect as my TV tuner. I thought that ubuntu had the hdhomerun drivers built in already, but I am not showing them.
Do I need to run the configure gui first and that will set it up to be configured in TVheadend?
Do I need to get drivers?

I am posting in odroid forums also, but thought this might be more appropriate.
