TVheadend through VPN

Hello,
I would like to watch TV when I am away from home. At home I have server with dynamic IP, so I decided to setup a VPN network on my VPS. Computers can see each other, but when I had tried to access my pc with tvheadend through VPN, it will ask me for login and password and than it will continually tries to load a start page (http://10.8.0.3:9981/extjs.html?) Streams in VLC with IP 10.8.0.3 also don't want to work.
I was wondering there might be a problem on VPN configuration side or in TVheadend?

Do you have any user accounts configured in TV Headend, if not you may need to create one and use that?

I've had good success with TV Headend over LogMeIn Hamachi (a kind of mesh VPN)
