Tvheadend

Kodi16.. Mint xfce 17.3 3.16 kernel for Hauppauge 1955 120gig ssd intel j1900 tvheadend 4.1.??? (sorry at work). Tvheadend end works great but upon rebooting the machine It doesn't find any adapters unless I go to terminal and issue "sudo service tvheadend restart" then all is peachy again. Is there a way to delay tvheadened boot at start up to give usb tuner more time to initialize or to simply create some kind of script that automatically restarts tvheadened after a short delay on boot? Thanks!
