Device names that are used to name a few:
AMD 100-703270 TV Wonder HD 600 USB 2.0 for PC, Digital Cable Tuner
ATI's TV Wonder Digital Cable Tuner
ATI TV Wonder Digital Cable CableCARD Tuner
ATI A636 External TV Wonder Digital Cable ATSC Tuner Box w/ CableCARD
Most searches reveal setup issues with Windows, some stating it is only compatible with Windows Vista, but others show it works with Windows 7.
I believe due to poor naming choices, leaves some confusion.
This site states "ATI/AMD TV Wonder Digital Cable Tuner ... will likely never be supported (i.e cablecard)"

Earlier in my searches I had read (thought it was bookmarked) that tuners with: ATI USB 600, and ATI USB 6xx drivers existed for linux.
Locally I've came discovered one, and considering buying one. Only if I can manage to get it to work on Linux.
So my question would be:
Does anyone have any knowledge of this device actually working with linux with cablecard support?
Thanks in advance of any advance.
My current setup:
-HP G6 Laptop Openelec 6.0
--Kodi 15.2
--TvHeadend 4.08
---HdHomeRun Dual (ASTC-clearQAM channels)
-Sony VPCJ1 Desktop
--Ubuntu 14.04
---Kodi 16
-Sony Z1s (Cellphone with a broken screen)
--MHL out to HDMI
---Kodi 16
I'm working on a limited budget and looking at either adding a CableCard Tuner to enhance our local cable TV or an analog tuner to view the 50+ channels available still on analog. The analog is the last option due to the lack of support by TvHeadend and the need to add v4l into the mix.
