Add mux manually sometimes requests bandwith, sometimes symbol rate

Added by joe dante over 9 years ago

Hi,

I'm having trouble setting up a DVB-C Technotrend CT2-4400 with tvheadend 3.4.28. First of all: Reception does work, using czap etc I can dump a stream to a file and play that using vlc.

In tvheadend's configuration on http ://host:9981, I can select Silicon Labs Si2168 as TV adapter, enable it, then switch over to Multiplexes. Here's where the strange stuff happens: Clicking on "Add mux manually" I get one of two different windows. Both ask for a frequency, but one version then requests bandwidth and quite some more items (see attachment), the other version just a symbolrate and one or two more items.

I was yet unable to reproduce which version appears when. Problem is, the bandwidth one is unable to find anything. The symbol rate version, however, happily starts scanning on that same frequency and, in the end, has found some 150 channels.

Any idea what's happening here?

As a second matter, while trying to figure out what's happening I had made a copy of /home/hts, hoping to preserve all found channels of the symbol rate version. Unfortunatly I'm unable to restore to that version after a system restart, and all I got during the past reboots was the not working bandwidth version.
Where does tvheadend store its configuration, solely in /home/hts or somewhere else, too?

Thanks!
