Scan issues with TBS 6982SE DVBS/S2 on Arch Linux latest git master

Added by Pedro Romano almost 10 years ago

I've been successfully running Tvheadend 3.4.27 on Ubuntu 14.04.1 LTS with the TBS 6982SE DVBS/S2 tuner.

Meanwhile my box died and I got a new one and while reinstalling I was keen on having a more "bleeding edge" setup, so installed Arch Linux instead.

I've tried Tvheadend 3.4.27 and the latest git master, but neither can seem to be able to scan the channels. There are no obvious errors either in the system log or in the Tvheadend log. Scan status just stays on PEND forever.

Alternatively w_scan seems to detect muxes and tune channels without any issues.

I am a big fan of Tvheadend and am comfortable making code changes and recompiling if you can steer me in the right direction.

Looking forward to some feedback to try to pinpoint the issue.

Thanks,
--Pedro.

Update: my tuners are enabled but I get the following trace lines in the log:

2015-01-09 17:11:34.000 [ TRACE] mpegts: 12363V in Freesat - has no instances, tuners enabled?

Any idea what might be causing it?

Further update: figured it out. I needed to configured the network in the LNB of the adapters also. All seems to be good now.
