Tvheadend

Hi all,
Firstly I would like to say thanks for a great product.
Here is my setup and result.
I have tvheadend server installed on my Raspberry Pi via OpenELEC.
On a second Raspberry Pi I am able to stream both SD and HD through XBMC without any problems whatsoever and everything works like a charm.
I also have XBMC installed on a Nexus 7 android tablet and everything works fine there too.
So I thought I would get things working on my IPad 2 running IOS 8.1 and Pangu Jailbreak next.
So after Jailbreaking the IPad I then installed XBMC and I can stream SD content without a problem. The issue is when I try to stream HD content the video becomes extremely laggy until after about 20 to 30 seconds the video will then freeze and I have to exit.

Has anyone else experienced this problem or know what setting,if any that may improve the quality?
I am streaming over wifi but don't think that that is the issue since I am streaming wirelessy to all the other devices without problems.
