Tvheadend

hello all,
ive done a lot of googling and need further advice...
i have an openbox x5 satellite reciever that has 'IPTV' capability, basically if i have a http stream i can watch it on the iptv section of the box by putting the http url in a tvlist.txt file...i think the box works/streams it best if the stream is in mp4.

what i'd like to do is create a stream with tvheadend from a dvb-s card plugged into tvheadend and stream the channel over the net so my family can watch the stream in their house on the iptv part of their set-top box with a http url created from tvheadend...can this be done?
