Dual S2 card (PCIe)
Added by PsYkO5457 - about 10 years ago
Hello all,
I plan to buy a home debian server with a dual DVB-S2 PCI Express card with tvheadend.
Following my research found some cards, but each of them seems to have users with problem on it.
Here are the choices :
- DVBSky S952
- TeVii S482 V2.1 (or old version S480)
- Satix S2-dual
- TBS 6982 (Or old version 6981/6980)
As the price is not a problem (all of them are around 90$), can somebody tell me which card should I go for ? (or maybe another card ?)
Thanks in advance

I'm using two TBS 6981 cards for a couple of years without problem. My system is Debian Testing. The driver for the TBS 6981 is in the Kernel, so it should work out of the box.
For TBS cards you should also take a look at: https://github.com/ljalves/linux_media/wiki
