Tvheadend

I'm using Debian 7.5, the the Sony Play TV Tuner on a home server running Plex. A while back I used the latest stable branch and XBMC and found it worked well, I have since switched to Roku's and Plex. I recently came across a this thread which makes me hopeful I can get my live tv streaming again.

Unfortunately the latest unstable build of TvHeadend does not seem to include the transcoding feature, this confused me since the latest build seems to have occurred after I took my snapshot from github. Does anyone know why that happened and what is blocking the integration of this feature?
