Autorecorder schedules recordings on timeshifted (+1 hour) channel instead of primary channel

Hiya
In New Zealand, we have timeshifted versions of our three primary channels (TVONE -> TVOne plus 1; TV2 -> TV2+1; TV3 -> TV3PLUS1) which operate on a one hour delay. Since updating from an ancient stable version of TVH about four months ago, I've had a fairly consistent problem whereby the autorecorder will choose to record the version of the selected program that airs on the timeshifted channel after asking it to record the version on the primary channel. This is a bit annoying, especially if it's a show I set to record because I typically get home ten minutes after it starts! The timeshifted channels are also SD instead of HD, so it's a problem even if I don't get around to watching it the following day.
Selecting a single program to record from the EPG records the correct channel. The problem only exists with the autorecorder.
I have tried everything I can imagine within the interface to make it record on the correct channel. It completely ignores the correctly-set 'channel', the 'HDTV' tag and the precisely-set start time and will always record the timeshifted version. I've also tried renaming the timeshifted channels so the names aren't so similar. No dice.
Weirdly, the problem only currently affects TV1 and TV3. Shows on TV2 will record on the primary channel and not the timeshifted one.
Current version is:
HTS Tvheadend 3.9.748~g789065c~trusty
I can't see anything useful in the syslog - just the recorder reporting that it has scheduled a recording (on the wrong channel).

Happy to provide any further logs that you can point me to.
The only other thing I can think of is the EPG data I use, which comes from a tv_grab-py script. I can upload the xml if necessary, but I've had a look and can't see a single difference between the listings on TV1/TV3 (faulty) and the ones on TV2 (working).
Help?!
