TvHeadEnd not finding services with FireDTV Floppy DVB-S2
Added by will cook almost 11 years ago
Hiya
I have two Floppy DVB-S Firewire cards that i have checked working under Argus TV and MythTV. Once upon a time i did have an installation of TvHeadEnd and i recall it worked OK. Now a year or so later im trying to get it working again under a new installation of Ubuntu 12.04 on a Mac Pro. Not sure what version of TvHeadEnd i was using but after i set up the multiplexes, it would appear that the idle scan does not find any channels. I do get a signal strength reading of around 78%. Before installing TvHeadEnd i also installed V4L drivers. Did i need to do this for tvheadend as it was required for mythtv.
Thanks and happy new year.
Will

Have found that restarting the service will get it working very briefly. Gonna try checking the firmware on the cards. FInd this all very odd seeing that the cards work fine in other software.
