Can't Add Mux manually / Wont find channel names
Added by Dev McC about 11 years ago
I really like this application. its really great. I'm currently watching TV and everything. However when I use the "Add DVB by Network location" button it finds services but does not name them or find any information at all. I have read a lot and decided to try W_scan and manually add the MUX. When I attempt to add the MUX I only have two fields, Frequency and modulation. I can only choose QAM-64 and QAM-256. Im in the US and trying to just get OTA channels so the Modulation should be 8VSB (or at least thats what is shows on w_scan and tvheadend when it finds them itself. My W_Scan info shows frequencies that are different than what is found and used by Tvheadend such as tvheadend has 177,028 but w_scan finds 177,000.
I initially added mux(es) with the tvheadend ATSC_Center thing. Half of my channels had no signal and there where duplicates so mapping them individually became frustrating.
To Sum up:
Tuner = hauppauge 950Q
OS = OpenElec XMBC with Tvheadend
1. Why can't I add Mux manually?
2. Why won't Tvheadend find my channel information?
3. Can I use the output from w_scan to setup the channels without manual importing?
Happy to provide any additional information just let me know. I really want this to work.
