Beginner Questions - how to scan for Channels
Added by Malte Göller over 11 years ago
Hey there,
finally convinced myself to use Ubuntu with TVHeadend as a central TV Server in my house instead of multiple MythTV Backends directly on the Macs. I installed TVHeadend from the PPA of Adam Sutton. Tried first to connect my EyeTV DVB-S2 USB Device but that wasn't shown in the Adapters section. It's not supported out of the box with linux I guess? - Didn't want to get deeper in the driver stuff so I'm using a TechniSat DVB-S2 PCI Device. After a reboot that was shown correctly in the TV Adapters. But now I'm stucked.
Shouldn't TVHeadend show me the preconfigured Sat configurations for my language/country if I choose "Add DVB Network by Location". The list stays white - see attached screenshot. What am I doing wrong?
Thx in advance for helping me out!
Best regards
MG
