Jeopardy Configuration Failure
Added by Danny Donnelly about 3 years ago
Hey everyone,
I am new to TVHeadend. I am running TVH on a Raspberry Pi 4 (8gb ram model). The primary reason I wanted to set up TVH was to record Jeopardy daily, but I also want to be able to use it to record and watch other programs. In my tests so far, I have found that when I set the DVR configuration to Jeopardy, it automatically fails, where as my general Media configurations works well every time. The only differences between these two configurations are what they are called and the folder that it saves the recordings into (as I want my daily Jeopardy recordings to be easily accessible in their own folder). Everything else about how they are set up is the same. Could there be any particular reason this particulat configuration fails?
Thanks!

Make sure the user (usually hts) owns the recording folder.
chown hts:hts /my/recording/folder -R chmod 755 /my/recrding/folder
Avoid saving to the sdcard and mount a small usb powered drive or network storage if you can.
if that still fails do a test recording and post the logs from the debug window here (click the bar on the webui at the bottom)
