EyeTV NetSat Mutex unable to scan fail

Added by Zwei Euro about 4 years ago

Hi,
Bear with me I am a software engi and sadly know very little about TV-Tech.

I bought this device:
https://www.geniatech.eu/product/eyetv-netstream-4sat/
EyeTV netsat 4sat.

I honestly don't quite know why I just bought it since I had good experience with the previous model, but it broke ( I couldn't get the previous model to work with TVH either, it crashed and send usb errors via dbus until the UART crashed.)

My problem most likely consist of terminology. I have a sat cable with 2 heads on the roof, Astra (19.2 E°) and Hotbird (13 E°).
Starting the device and TVH immediately sees it and setting everything to auto i see this:

But after that I am completely lost.
Netcast streams over IP so I a am assuming what I am receiving is Sat>IP itself. Well no since this shows DVB-S tuners, which is what is inside this thing.

Ok so I have to set those up. (Via the wizard since it's easier to screenshit.
Since I have 2 networks I will add those 2. But aren't they both streamed via IPTV?

I saw in some other post that the pre defined muxes can be quite old and not accurate, sadly noone said what to do against that since force search without any muxes just doesn't find anything anyways.

I'll pick 19.2E:Astra which is the only one i can pick but I'd guess I would have to pick the ones from Hotbird too at some point ?

Now it scans, I'll spare waiting forever until this is done but it boils down to 'Nothing is found, everything fails. (But the device is searching, it has a blink indicator for that.

Now my questions:
Shouldn't I have somewhere a setting to decombine the two receivers?
Since hotbird and astra got combined into one DVB-S network, why can't I search for muxes just via the tuner and let it find the stuff itself?

I have tried adding one mux which i googled manually but that didn't work out either.
