map DVB services running but no channels added
Added by sherlo hermes almost 13 years ago
Running a Hauppauge 9HVR950Q on Ubuntu 11.10 and I am running HTS Tvheadend version 2.12.99 .
I am showing 404 services and 373 Muxes and the map dvb services to channel button ungreyed so I clicked. It does say Service probe started on "Auvitek AU8522 QAM/QVSB Frontend". My noobie question is how long will this process run before channels show up or am I possibly missing something in the configuration? Seems like it is running and running with no channels showing up. It has been running for close to an hour with no updates so I don't think it will. And now when I look at the multiplexes the quality has dropped to 0% on 90% of them. Is this the reason why? They were at 100% before so I'm not sure what would have cause them to drop like that.
Here is more info:
/Documents$ ls /dev/dvb/*
demux0 dvr0 frontend0 net0
Hardware
Device path:
/dev/dvb/adapter0
Device name:
Auvitek AU8522 QAM/8VSB Frontend
Host connection:
USB (480 Mbit/s)
Frequency range:

57,028 kHz
Services:
404
Muxes:

Thanks for any ideas on what I should do next. So far everything looks great and I am eager to get this working with XBMC in the future..

Same problem here. A work-around is to enter the channel names in the services tab manually.
After that the channel appears in the channel tab. I think it's bug, could someone comment on that?
Don't want to enter the names of round about 550 channels
HTS Tvheadend 2.99.16.g0e3bb.dirty
with HDHomeRun DVB-C EU
edit: found the solution!
on my Synology NAS gconv was missing.
ipkg install gconv-modules
export GCONV_PATH=/opt/lib/gconv

Not working for me! installed ipkg, to be able to do ipkg install gconv-modules but still can't map services to channels.
Only way I just succeded is by manually naming the services to 1 to 27 (i have 27 services) and then they appeared in my channels but then, tried in XBMC and it's not working saying "Tvheadend hts client adapter in use by other subscription"!!! :'(
