UK Freeview - How Do I Check Oxford Transmitter Muxes?
Added by DZMM Highlander about 6 years ago
We've just had a new aerial installed and the installer is pointing it to Oxford, whereas the old one was Sandy Heath. MY TV Tuner is picking up all channels so I know the aerial is ok, but the Oxford preset for TVH is missing the majority - e.g. nothing between 95 and 201.
How do I check if the Oxford preset is correct? Is there a site to check the muxes that is up to date?
Thanks in advance

You can manually add muxes.
See http://www.digitaluk.co.uk/coveragechecker/main/trade/OX1+3EX/1/0/e1v85heiieufpd49tiq86v0051 for a list, and match the Number in the N column with the centre frequency on http://www.digitalspy.com/tech/terrestrial/news/a12613/uhf-channel-and-frequency-guide/

Thank you so much. I managed to fuddle my way through by finding the freqs and using the DVB-T/DVB-T2 settings (QAM etc) from the incorrect Oxford preset.

TVHeadend's repository of transmitters and multiplexes is at https://github.com/tvheadend/dtv-scan-tables, and the Oxford transmitter list is at https://github.com/tvheadend/dtv-scan-tables/blob/tvheadend/dvb-t/uk-Oxford. It was last updated in 2015. I'm sure it would be appreciated by other users if you could submit a correction.
