Added by Chris cp over 7 years ago
Hi,
I just cant get it to work. I have a new tvHeadend installation 4.3-308~g063765eaa.
The octopus net (DVB-S2) is discovered by tvh (screenshot).
I tried IPTV, IPTV automatic and DBV-S network, also enabled the adapters and applied the network to them.
all i got is
2017-08-02 06:58:53.596 mpegts: 12551.5V in DVB-S Netzwerk - tuning on SAT>IP DVB-S Tuner #1 (10.33.0.79)
2017-08-02 06:58:53.596 subscription: 0004: "scan" subscribing to mux "12551.5V", weight: 6, adapter: "SAT>IP DVB-S Tuner #1 (10.33.0.79)", network: "DVB-S Netzwerk", service: "Raw PID Subscription"
2017-08-02 06:58:53.599 satip: SAT>IP DVB-S Tuner #1 (10.33.0.79) - RTSP SETUP error -5 (I/O error) [6-404]
2017-08-02 06:59:03.596 mpegts: 12551.5V in DVB-S Netzwerk - scan no data, failed
2017-08-02 06:59:03.596 subscription: 0004: "scan" unsubscribing
What is the best way to get this configuration running?
Thanks

Anyone with an octopus net box running with tvheadend?

Some more info about your setup
With satellite? Is network set to virtual tuners?
Am guessing, but this is Astra 19.2 and only one transponder in network.

HI, Thanks for your answer
After installing tvheadend the octopus net autmoatically shows (via network discovery) in the list of tv adapters.
the octopus net has 4 DVB-S2 inputs and I'm trying to get Astra 19,2 channels from it.
The device offers an url to a channel list in m3u or json format. When I try to paste a rtsp url from the m3u list in vlc it works.
I tried 2 different setup options.
1) IPTV automatic, here the wizard requests an url for IPTV input.
I paste the URL
http://10.33.0.79/channellist.lua?select=m3u
which is my octopus net ip and the path to the m3u list (tested in browser)
after that the discovery says that is finished and found 0 channels
the dvb inputs however were automatically changed to enabled and the position on the dvb inputs reduced from 16 to 4 (screenshot).
Also there was no network assigned to the dvb inputs and the network dropdown-list there is also empty although the network was created.
2) I created a DVB-S2 network called SAT and selected the orbital position 19.2E : Astra 1KR/1L/1M/1N
I tried both with or without predefined muxes.
After that I enabled the autodiscovered dvb inputs and assigned the SAT network to them.
The mux discovery run into an error (previous post)
Is one of the ways completly wrong?

Are you try to add muxes manualy?
on this image
when select position AA what is set?
RE: tvHeadend + Octopus net - Added by Chris cp over 7 years ago
If I add a mux manualy this seems to work,
eg
rtsp://10.33.0.79:554/?src=1&freq=11347&pol=v&msys=dvbs2&sr=22000&pids=0,6700,6710,6730,6720,6721,6723,6722
I got the url from the m3u list.
Then I can add a service-channel and watch in on the client.
Is there no better way for this to get it working?

how about this

Yeah,
I added this mux manually on the dVB-S2 tuner variante.
Now the scanning for the muxes seems to work and more are coming
That seems to do the job
Thanks for your help
