timeout waiting for packets

Added by Trex the Daemon almost 9 years ago

Recently I've bought a DVBSky S960 tuner to hook it up to the raspberry, as I want to replace my enigma2 receiver with an all-in-one media center, based on a raspberry pi2 (osmc)

I've followed numerous tutorials regarding tvheadend setup, managed to get it working partially, as I have some issues with it.
The smaller problem is that i don't know how to setup with a motorized dish, through a diseq 1.2 positioner. But for this I've already created a separate thread.
The other one, more important is getting picture most of the time.

So, I've set-up the networks, muxes, and successfully scanned them for 2 satellites.
But when I want to start the channel stream (no matter that it's from kodi or vlc through the webif), most of the time i am getting the following errors:

This one is an unencrypted channe on sky 19.2E, the same happens with an encrypted one too.
But sometimes it just works, encrypted or not encrypted.

I've checked the kernel log, nothing interesting is happening there.

Now what bothers me is that it sometimes works, without changing anything in the setup.
I have the latest tvheadend, as I've compiled it from scratch (HTS Tvheadend 4.1-1008~gc8fcc70) , but also tried with the one from the repo, 4.0.5, same issue.

For the dvbsky tuner, i've downloaded the latest firmware files form their website and placed them in the /lib/firmware folder.

Any ideas how to fix this ? Thanks in advance.
