Access denied / OSMC / RPi 2
Added by Lee C over 9 years ago
I'd love to say I followed X steps to get this thing up and running, but, at the moment, I can't duplicate all the things I've done to try and get TVH working happily.
I'm running a Raspberry Pi 2 on OSMC (Release Candidate.)
TVH is installed, I have a WinTV-Q950 tuner.
Web interface is up, and I have a ... moderately successful scan. I've found numerous MUXes and services. The service names are all blank, and the channel names are all unmapped.
Map DVB services to channels doesn't seem to do anything.
I'm in the US, and I'm trying to grab the channel data over the air.
I have a couple of problems, and I think they're not only related, but the same problem showing up different ways.
1. If I try to enable a local TVH PVR client, I get an "Access Denied" error.- I've tried using the credentials I used when I set TVH up - doesn't matter.
- I've tried using the root credentials for the box - doesn't matter.
- However, It will play a channel if I feed VLC the correct complete URL (such as http://192.168.0.16:9981/stream/service/_dev_dvb_adapter0_Auvitek_AU8522_QAM_8VSB_Frontend479028615_0002) - I note that any URL with a MUX in it won't work.
2. The service names / channel information needs to be addressed. I'm thinking if this problem is solved, then the VLC issue above goes away and I'm wondering if that's driven by some type of access that TVH doesn't have.
Somewhere, something is misconfigured, but trying to figure out where - I'm not even sure where to start. The /var/log/syslog doesn't even exist and I can't figure out where the system log is (https://osmc.tv/help/wiki/logs doesn't mention it.)
I'm not a total NOOB, but..ugh. Any help, pointers, ... anything?
Thanks!
