When playing content from the web interface, the interface forces me to use a plugin. I wonder if there's an option to set the 'play' link to simply return a stream URL with the relevant mime type? That way I could use my standard video software to play the stream.

I'm using google chrome on linux and plugins are occasionally an issue with that setup, but I prefer it for other reasons. So I'd like to avoid needing plugins. Right now I get 'missing plug-in' if I turn plugins off.

If there's no such option yet, I'd like to request it as a feature.
