Can't access while using daemon
Added by David Meredith over 11 years ago
Hi there,
This is my first post here and I'm a fairly new linux user. I love tvheadend so far but I have run into a wall...
I'm running tvheadend 3.5.62 on my raspberry pi as root via the command line (no x server running to begin with). Running tvheadend -C or just tvheadend as a command works fine and I can view my channels/streams via VLC (video + audio working) and I can log in on the web interface with the access controls I've set up.
I want to run tvheadend -f as a daemon so that I can also run xbmc on top and access the live tv option. When I try this xbmc is denied access and also I can't log into the web interface. I tried removing all access controls apart from the default (everybody can access) user but I still can't log in while it's daemonized...
I got around it by running tvheadend normally in a separate ssh terminal and xbmc on my default monitor but it wasn't ideal. Also I could only get audio when I did this. I'd just get a blank screen. I've attached a pic with the information as it's shown on xbmc.
Is there a way to get tvheadend running as a daemon while still getting access?
Is there a way to get video working via xbmc?
I hope you guys can help.
