libreelec+kodi+tvshield+ tvheadend frontend. How to change channels mapping on the frontend?
Added by Andrea m over 3 years ago
Hello everyone!
I have raspi4 + the aforementioned things, my problem is that i can't understand the mapping's logic on the frontend, I see the channels are split between radio and tv, but i'd like to have 2 choices:
1) On the frontend respect the national's channels mapping so e.g.:
1 -> rai1
501 -> rai 1 HD
radio -> 600 and beyond
OR 2) be able to move (remap) channels on the frontend, i've tried right click-> move channel -> apply now. Nothing changes and if it changes it complete gibberish not moving the right channel but scaling down the others, so the ones that are correctly mapped are scaled down by 1 , 2 ,3
Can you please help me with one of the two solutions? And also point me a link where to understand the logic behind?

Ciao Andrea,
To respect the LCN, you need to activate the following settings in Kodi (PVR and LiveTV Settings)
Use Channel Numbers from BackEnd
Use Channel Order from Backend
Then, it will perfectly work.
TVH will identify the sources and will tag them accordingly. You can change the Etichette by editing them in the Configurazione --> Canale EPG --> Canali and then you can enable just the tags you want in Configurazione --> Canale EPG --> Etichette deui canali
Once you do that, in the TV section of Kodi you can filter the channels by tag, and you will see the tags you created in TVH. I have created SD and HD channels, for instance.
Ciao
