Tvheadend

Hi,
Are there any guides for getting this set of programs/add-ons working on the Shield? I've been trying for many days based on the latest version provided at https://www.nvidia.com/en-us/geforce/forums/discover/251405/tvheadend-apk-the-easy-way-to-run-tvheadend-on-the-shield-/#5261288 (4.3.x - couple years old) with a HomeRun Dual but run into issues trying to record with recording live actually scheduling for later records, and sometimes on wrong channels. And it needs to be restarted regularly and now I'm having issues getting the guide data loaded.

I just want to know if it's the best option before I bother troubleshooting more? I essentially want to be able to record shows and watch them on the Shield and other devices via Kodi around the house.
