How to reset Kodi client
Added by Hiro Protagonist about 5 years ago
I've recently made some changes to my TVH channels, added a few, deleted some, and changed the URL for some IPTV channels.
Subsequently my Kodi client seems quite confused - some channels have no EPG data, some are showing EPG data for different channels, and some are fine.
I should emhasise that all channels have good EPG data on the back-end, only the Kodi client is getting it wrong.
I've tried disabling the TVH client on Kodi, and rebooting, but re-enabling it brings back the same bad data.
Does anyone know how I can get the Kodi TVH client to start with a clean slate, and [hopefully] show the correct EPG data again?

In order to reset all data related to PVR clients in Kodi, you have to "clear data" in Kodi options.
Go to Kodi Settings -> PVR & Live TV -> General. Under "General", there is a command to "Clear data". See this page: [[https://kodi.wiki/view/Settings/Live_TV]]
Once you click "Clear data", Kodi TVH client will "reset" by clearing all data in Kodi and import everything again from your TVH backend. This should also fix your EPG problem.
Basically, every time you make changes to TVH backend (removing or adding channels, changing EPG data, etc.) you should clear data in Kodi. You shouldn't be doing this often. EPG dtaa should be grabbed by Kodi automatically anyway but any changes to channels will confuse Kodi without clearing all data first.

That worked - thanks! I'd not noticed that option before.
