Restore recodings after new install on SD card
Added by Mark Brown over 8 years ago
I put a message onto the Kodi forum and it was recommended that I ask here:
Basic question
Is there an easy way to have previously recorded recognized again in the Recordings tab?
Overall, very impressed. I have Raspberry PI 2 (Soon to be PI3) running OSMD 2016.02-3, Kodi16 using the Confluence skin, with TVHeadend 4.07 back and front.
Recording to an external drive on a powered hub.
3 Realtek 2832 TV-D dongles (sometimes 4 - a old RTL3820)
Running very well, recording plenty of FTA TV programs
Streaming video
Streaming music
Internet radio
etc
- keeps everyone happy.
Great project for a Raspberry and this great program!
Problem is I made a mistake. I upgraded to a class 10 32gb SD card and left the old SD card for a moment - one of the family thought they had a better use for it and a format and copied files later and I lost my old setup.
The new install does not see my old recordings in the Recordings tab. The directory is set through the HTS TVHeadend Configuration (web interface). In my case /media/ExHDD/TVRec
Is there an easy way to have these recognized again?
As suggested by J876, I added my recordings folder as a source in the Videos section. However, would be a benefit to get them back into the tab and recognized by the system as a whole.
Many thanks...
