TVHeadend and XMLTV EPG Issue on OpenELEC 5.0.8
Added by Chris Lavery over 9 years ago
Hi All,
I am running OE 5.0.8 with TVHeadend 4.2.12 and I am using an XMLTV.xml for my EPG data. It seems that the EPG is displaying programs in the incorrect timeslot e.g. a show that was aired at 6am this morning is showing as 5pm today. I am using the same XMLTV.xml file for my OE 4.2.1 build and the programs are displayed correctly in the EPG.
Any help will be appreciated.
Thanks
Chris

Are the clocks on your frontend and backend both correct?

Hi Kris,
Thank you for your response. In this case the back end and the front end are on the same box. The time and date displayed in Kodi is correct
Thanks
Chris

I have this problem too.
ntp is in sync on all machines, TZ data too.
What I realised is, that the EPG is fine for "local" TVs - I receive like ~100 IPTV channels and "local" means with origin in the same country, or just around. There is EPG correct.
The shift happens with TVs with "global" coverage and no "localised" adaptations, like National Geographic for instance.
But from what I can say, If I compared the source webs for the XMLTV content with EPG I see, that looked fine - what would implicate either the source Web data are already shifted...
Hard to pin point this
