AlphaCrypt Hardware CI did not descrambling

Added by Manuel Menz about 8 years ago

Hi,

i have a problem with my AlphaCrypt Hardware CI Modul. TvHeadend recognizes the Modul but it did not descrambling encrypted channels.

Have i do some settings before i can decrypt channels with the Hardware CI?

Regards
Manuel

Ok, i think now i have it (descrambling not working) but i think redirecting working now.

i did this :

sudo -i

echo "10 02" | tee /sys/class/ddbridge/ddbridge0/redirect

and then i could watch at dmesg

[ 227.084998] DDBridge: redirect: 10, 02

//EDIT : tried now every combination without luck :-(

RE: AlphaCrypt Hardware CI did not descrambling - Added by Christian Brauwers almost 8 years ago

Strange, getting this

first

2017-01-23 18:35:53.739 [ INFO] en50221: CAM slot 0 supported CAIDs: 098C (NDS) 0648 (Irdeto) 1702 (BetaCrypt) 1722 (BetaCrypt) 1762 (BetaCrypt) 4A20 (0x4a20) 0500 (Viaccess) 0B00 (Conax) 0100 (Seca) 1833 (NagraVision) 1834 (NagraVision) 0D05 (CryptoWorks) 0D95 (CryptoWorks ICE) 09C4 (NDS) 093E (NDS) 0963 (NDS) 0919 (NDS)

and starting a channel

2017-01-23 18:41:05.377 [ TRACE] dvbcam: cannot find active cam entry
2017-01-23 18:41:05.377 [ TRACE] dvbcam: start service 0x5611a736c640

If i put the Cam direct into my TV everything is working fine ...

It's an Alphacrypt ... (non ci+)

RE: AlphaCrypt Hardware CI did not descrambling - Added by Christian Brauwers almost 8 years ago

nobody an idea?

- Driver Problem?
- TVH Problem? (dvbcam.c @ Line 129 i think is where it fails)
- CAM Problem?

Thanks

RE: AlphaCrypt Hardware CI did not descrambling - Added by Eddsch K almost 8 years ago

i've got a working setup, so i think it is not a TVH problem

first play here with your setings:
http://www.spinics.net/lists/linux-media/msg39472.html

not working? - drivers?! Try these:
http://www.vdr-portal.de/board18-vdr-hardware/board102-dvb-karten/124665-aktuelle-treiber-f%C3%BCr-octopus-ddbridge-cines2-ngene-ddbridge-duoflex-s2-duoflex-ct-cinect-max-s8-sowie-tt-s2-6400-teil-3/

CAM Problem - One4All 2.40 is working for me

the only Problem i have is described here:
https://tvheadend.org/issues/4202

RE: AlphaCrypt Hardware CI did not descrambling - Added by Christian Brauwers almost 8 years ago

Thanks for the reply .... i double checked my redirect (DD Support confirms 10,02) but without luck...
Yes i also have O4A 2.40 running here ...

do you use a version with en50221 enabled or not ?
can you tell me your configure parameter please?

What Kernel do you have? I have 4.4.0-34-generic

thanks

RE: AlphaCrypt Hardware CI did not descrambling - Added by Eddsch K almost 8 years ago

RE: AlphaCrypt Hardware CI did not descrambling - Added by Christian Brauwers almost 8 years ago

strange, its not working for me ...
i'm not sure why its not redirecting ...

RE: AlphaCrypt Hardware CI did not descrambling - Added by Eddsch K almost 8 years ago

turning it on and off again? - yeah it sounds stupid, but i've had a problem in the last days and rebooting does not change anything and it wasn't descrabling futher - so i turned the server off an pull any connection that have power, including the sat connection from the lnb

and it was working again

RE: AlphaCrypt Hardware CI did not descrambling - Added by Christian Brauwers almost 8 years ago

ok sounds really strange ...
i killed yesterday some settings in my server, so i will start over with a fresh install these days.
i will install fresh ubuntu (going back to 14.04.5) only with tvheadend. therefore i pull all cables once.

just to be sure :-)

RE: AlphaCrypt Hardware CI did not descrambling - Added by Christian Brauwers almost 8 years ago

found my 10 years old dvbviewer license and installed a windows 7 on the server.
DD Driver installed without problems, Card and CI + Cam & Card found.

Can access SC Menu via DD Tool ...

Know trying decrypted Channels, but the same, nothing happend...
i know think it could be the pcie extender bridge which i have to use (cause my supermicroboard has only 1 pcie slot) ... i will try to double check with a normal PC these days with 2 pcie slots on the mainboard.

TBC

RE: AlphaCrypt Hardware CI did not descrambling - Added by Christian Brauwers over 7 years ago

So .... good news... i recently removed the pcie flex cable (its a 1HE rack case) an put the pcie extender card direct into the port.

boot the windows machine with dvbviewer and tadaaa... i have direct descrambled live tv with my card.
now i switch back to my tvheadend linux disk.

TBC

RE: AlphaCrypt Hardware CI did not descrambling - Added by Christian Brauwers over 7 years ago

no luck with ubuntu 16.04.1 LTS and a complete fresh Debian 8.7 :-(

RE: AlphaCrypt Hardware CI did not descrambling - Added by Christian Brauwers over 7 years ago

Short Update : after some Support with DD i updatet the Firmware of both Cards (MaxS8 and CI) ... but no luck @ all with Linux and tvheadend.
I begun testing with a Windows 7 System and DVBViewer on the same Hardware. There everything works out of the Box. Redirect through CI is done with the Driver. (4 Tuner possible) and the AC was able to decode 3 different Transponder at time (i think it could do 4)

I'm still in contact with DD Support to find a solution ...

RE: AlphaCrypt Hardware CI did not descrambling - Added by Christian Brauwers over 7 years ago

After a short time of using dvbviewer als new backend i have now switched to VDR (2.3.6) with the DDCI2 Plugin (from Jasmin)

Everything is working fantastic, no adapter_alloc or redirect is needed anymore. MTD is working!
Would be really cool if THV will implement this solution too

Hello Christian,

just wanted to ask if you have a link or a tutorial or how you accomplished the setup with vdr.
Because I am struggling since days with vdr after I was forced to leave tvh because of the constellation of DD Cine S2 V7A and Alphacrypt light.

Thank you and best regards,
Dennis

Maybe there's some light at the far end of the tunnel (not beeing a train) :-)
