IPTV stopped working (DRM?)
Added by ruud - about 10 years ago
Hi,
been using tvheadend in combination with IPTV to full satisfaction for some years now.
Now my IPTV providers services will be handled by a different supplier. Appearently this supplier uses DRM, because all of a sudden I couldn't use my working IPTV setup anymore.
I am not sure how to go forward with this, previously I had a working dvb-c setup with a smart card and oscam, but encryption on iptv is completely new for me.
Wat would be the components that I need to look into to get this working again?
any help / pointers highly appreciated
I am NL based.
thanks in advance,
Ruud.

Hi, just to follow up on my own thread :)
as it turned out, the provider switch that should have been transparent for the user wasn't.
What I did to ge it working again (hopefully somebody else facing the same problems can benefit from this):
1. setup my providers pvr box (Amino)
because I never used it, it received an update after which it authenticated against the new provider
2. downloaded on my server w.zt6.nl/tvmenu/code.js.gz
in this .js file (minified!) are the new ip addresses and portnumbers
3. entered the new IP adresses in my tvheadend system, did an initial scan... and
it works again.
Note not al channels are free anymore: some HD channels are encrypted, but for me this is sufficient!
hope this helps!
regards,
Ruud.

Hi Ruud,
I'm just trying to get IPTV to work with Telfort. I've read your posts about IPTV and got it working so far that I can get the code.js.gz from w.zt6.nl and I'm able to register the muxes in tvheadend. I've tried a couple of addresses, but TVH all recognizes them as encrypted.
Could you tell me how I can search for the non-encrypted services in the code.js file?
Kind regards,
Arnoud
