A complicated problem
Added by Anton Bungin over 10 years ago
Recently I came accross some nasty problem for me.
I have Digital Devices PCI-E cards with 4 tuners.
In CSA section I'm subscribed to "provider 1" this way:
- through my official card which discrambles SD channels 1-100 (LAN-port),
- through CS-server - the same SD channels 1-100 plus extra SD channels 101-120 and HD channels (WAN-port).
From time to time I have "Continuity counter error" and the channel freezes.
If WAN-port is disabled, to solve the problem I can switch to another channel / adaptor and then come back (I mean when watching SD channels 1-100).
Too annoying, but anyway...
But in this case, of course, I can't watch SD channels 101-120 and HD channels at all (no WAN-port).
If WAN-port is working, TVH switches itself from to LAN-port to WAN-port when watching SD channels 1-100 (probably, when "Continuity counter error" error occurs - I don't know when).
Too bad, as using WAN-server is not that stable.
In these cases after switching to other channels and back, TVH always connects to WAN-port instead of using LAN-port.
If I disable WAN-port in CSA section, this very channel is not discrambled.
To solve it I have too delete the muxes and to copy them from another adaptor and wait for the problem to come again.
So, my questions are:
1. How to solve "Continuity counter error" issue (I upgraded drivers, "Full mux reception" is switched to "OFF")? Disabling "Idle scanning" not good for me.
2. Is there any way in the future to stick a channel to an exact CS-port to make TVH reconnect on issues to the port I prefer?
3. With my 4 tuners I tend to be banned when using WAN-ports, as TVH has only one config for all adaptors. CS-servers propose only dual-logins (I need quadro in TVH). Is it possible in the future to have one config per adaptor like in ACAMD?
