EPG grabber section missing
Added by Andrew Moore over 7 years ago
I've just set up tvheadend on my synology nas drive and it's working fine, but I can't get the EPG to work
Looking at the docs here:
http://docs.tvheadend.org/webui/config_epggrab/
there should be an over the air grabber section, but it just isn't shown at all.
I'm using a IP>SAT tuner and looking to get the UK Freesat guide into tvheadend with the Freesat/view module grabber.
Does anyone have any pointers to why it doesn't show up to be able to select?

I am not familiar with IP>SAT so scuse if talking rubbish but given, as the page your refer to says
"Over-the-Air (OTA) : These grabbers receive EPG data directly from the DVB network."
that is the EPG is extra data that is broadcast with a television signal, as your tuner is remote rather than a local to the machine an OTA grabber will not work.
I think you will need to get a source of XMLTV data and load that.

If he's running 4.1.xxxx which I suspect he is. He'll find the Freesat grabber in Configuration -> Channel / EPG -> EPG Grabber Modules.
